If you can afford it, I’d say go for the Maschine. But if you already have Ableton and want to save some cash the Launchpad is still solid, just limiting compared to everything the Maschine has going for it.

The Mikro only has one knob, so editing sounds might be a little trickier using a Mikro, but you can totally do this with a Mikro.

I’d say yes, although Mikro only has one knob, so it would probably take a little more time adjusting the pix of samples, cutting sounds, etc. Other than the bigger Maschine having more knobs and might be a little easier/faster to edit sounds on, I don’t think there’s anything Maschine can do that Mikro can’t. You can be just as fast editing sounds on the Mikro, you just have to practice a little

500 dollars? Wow, that’s really cheap. I had to pay alot more when I bought it here in Switzerland (about 750 dollars)

you dont have to use the maschine mk2 for this concept,you can do it on akai mpd,korg padkontrol,the mikro or even on nano pad and akai lpd
