Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey win Love Island 2016!

Congratulations are in order for Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey on winning Love Island!

And what a series of Love Island it’s been. We’ve had nation-captivating romance, backstabbing, bitching and So. Much. Sex. Seriously guys, it was worse than watching a Magaluf foam party on an 18-30 holiday.

But some couples have stayed stronger than others, and through it all, reality TV love has blossomed.

Nathan and Cara have been the favourites for some time now. They managed to be cute without being TOTAL drips. She’s already met his siter and they’ve even talked about having kids. Finally the big L word was said on final night.

‘I think Cara deserves a massive round of applause for putting up with me,’ Nathan said.

‘Nathan is hard work but I wouldn’t change him in any way,’ Cara said. ‘He loves me too,’ she added, giggling! CUTE.

We wish these soul mates the best of luck on the crazy ride of the outside world.

The runners up were Alex and Olivia and throughout their journey they seemed like quite the couple. Despite literally humping away former coupler Zara Holland’s Miss Great Britain title, the pair seemed to be a fan favourite and looked like they really liked each other… until the lie detector made Alex look TERRIBLE. Ehh, maybe the real world will help.

Scott and Kady seem to be on the opposite side of the spectrum. They’ve stayed together for weeks but seem to have never stopped arguing. Not just with each other – remember when Kady scrapped with newbie and alleged-Tyga-lover Malia that led to the new girl getting kicked off the island!? Good times. The pair came third in the show.

Finally poor Adam coupled with Katie, and the man labelled as ‘boring’ has grown in the eyes of the viewer. He’s now the king of the weird metaphor and he didn’t have sex with her because he wanted to preserve his career in WWE. What a champ. These guys came fourth.

So through all the trials and tribulations: the heartbreak, the weird black-and-white humping which was like watching a nature documentary with all the shame from all everyone involved, and, most importantly, the love. We’ll keep you posted on how long they last.
