Missing Giovanni Pernice? Georgia May Foote wishes her Ex good luck on Strictly Come Dancing

It’s that time of year again.

We’ve replaced all regular items of clothing with sequins, sequins and SEQUINS. We no longer commute to work, but rather fox trot. We refuse to listen to music without being able to make comments such as ‘this would be an alright tune for a Waltz, wouldn’t it?’.

All in all, we’re looking a lot like a walking, talking version of this:

And so, being the Strictly Come Dancing legends that we are (and yes, we too will cringe at that comment when our Strictly fever passes), it’s very hard for us to not get wrapped up in a bubble of all things Ballroom.

So, exactly what is going on with the dance floor favourites of last series?!

Well, the lovely Georgia May Foote has taken to Instagram to reflect upon her time on the show- during which she fell in love with dance partner Giovanni Pernice.

Georgia writes, ‘I can’t believe it’s been a year since i met these wonderful human beings. And stepped on that @bbcstrictly dance floor for the first time. I never dreamt i would make the final. Or make such incredible friends and make the best memories’.

The ex-Corrie actress continues, ‘I have had the best year of my life thanks to Strictly. And I wish all the contestants and pros this year all the luck in the world’.

25-year-old Georgia and Giovanni called it quits on their relationship just days before the dancer began filming for the new series.Sharing the news via Twitter, Georgia reassured fans that their was no bad blood between the former couple- writing, ‘Although it was not an easy decision to make, sometimes you realise that it is better to be friends and this is one of those times‘.

Now partnered with presenter Laura Whitmore, a source has recently shared with The Sun that Georgia is slightly concerned about her ex.

The source has claimed, ‘Georgia knows just how intimately the couples have to dance and is terrified that Giovanni might hook up with Laura’.
