18 things you never knew about Countryfile presenter Ellie Harrison

Yes, we admit it… we’re a little addicted to BBC One’s Countryfile.

There’s something warming about it on a Sunday evening, right? Maybe it’s to do with the adorable animals. It makes those back-to-work blues just a little more bearable.

But there’s one presenter we’re always hoping is going to pop up on our screens, and that’s Ellie Harrison.

She’s just SO nice! And fun. And adventurous.

Basically we want to be her. We wouldn’t mind having her job either.

But apart from being envious of her gorgeous mane of blonde hair, those dimples, and her whole life, we realised we didn’t know much about our new girl-crush.

So we did a little digging and found out a little more about 38-year-old Ellie.

1. Before landed presenting jobs Ellie was a secretary at Channel 5.

4. Ellie has three kids. Two little girls – six-year-old Red and five-year-old Lux. And a son, who she welcomed in June 2016.

5. She has been engaged to a doctor called Matt Goodman for 11 years.

6. She likes going wild swimming and playing the banjo to relax.

7. Ellie suffers from claustrophobia.

9. She is the proud owner of a Mulberry handbag and a pair of Louboutin shoes.

10. Her favourite designer is Ralph Lauren.

13. She studied Geography with Ecology at King’s College London.

14. If Ellie wasn’t a presenter she’d like to run her own wildlife sanctuary.

15. Ellie’s favourite country is Namibia in Africa.

16. Her favourite animal is the killer whale.
