Xiaomi Nougat update list leaks online

Not all devices will get Android 7.1

Xiaomi’s Android Nougat update list has leaked online, showing a list of devices that will be updated to Android Nougat OS and while the company has been promising updates for some of its devices for a while, there is still no official date.

According to an image posted by ITHome.com site, caught by Androidauthority.com, some Xiaomi devices will be updated to Android 7.0 while some will be directly updated to Android 7.1. It is still not clear why some devices will be only moving to Android 7.0 but it might have something to do with the release date of some devices.

Xiaomi is famous for not being prompt in updating its devices to the latest Android OS and with an imminent launch of Android O, which could be coming as early as next month, it was time that we at least have an idea on which devices will be updated.

According to the picture, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X, Mi Max, Mi Note 2, Mi MIX, Mi 4c, Mi 4s, Mi 5, Mi 5s, and Mi 5s Plus will be updated to Android 7.0, while Xiaomi Mi 6, Mi Max 2, Mi 5c and the Xiaomi Redmi 4X will be updated to Android 7.1.

Hopefully, Xiaomi will provide official details soon as users have been waiting for these updates for ages.
