Reloop Touch: Virtual DJs’ Never Looked Better On New Controller with Touchscreen

Reloop is gearing up to release a new controller that is aiming to closely integrate hardware and software. The Reloop Touch is a 4-deck controller that is native to Virtual DJ. The controller boasts a 7” touchscreen, a 4 channel mixer, performance pads, and dynamic FX control. Read on to learn more about this unique controller.

  • Hardware: Reloop Touch
  • Price: $ 699 USD
  • Included Software: Virtual DJ 8
  • Availability: Beginning of November 2017

What Is The Reloop Touch?

The Reloop Touch is one of the first controllers to have full touchscreen integration. The bright 7″ display allows for real-time control of FX via the XY panel, comfortable track browsing, organizing a library via drag-and-drop, as well as visualization of the various performance modes (including video mixing).

The UI and design of the touchscreen is the product of a partnership between Reloop and VirtualDJ. Underneath the screen is a 4-channel club mixer with a combined EQ/filter section. Each deck has a jog-wheel built for pitch-bending and track searching.

Each deck also has fader-FX units that offer direct control over effect and video parameters via four short-throw line faders each. The multi-al XCoder controls three convenient s (Loop Size, Key and Grid Adjust) with just one encoder. There are also 2 sets of 8 RGB performance pads located below fader-FX units.

These pads bring the classic performance modes such as hot cue, roll, slicer, sampler, cue loop, beat jump and key cue. The controller also contains Pad Mode. This allows the DJ to switch between pad s and SPLIT MODE, making it possible to combine up to two different modes at the same time. All performance modes can be adjusted extensively via the PARAM button.

The Reloop Touch houses a built-in audio interface with a high-retention USB port to protect from unwanted cable pull-outs. There are both balanced and unbalanced master outs (XLR/RCA), two headphone connections (3.5 and 6.3 mm) and a mic input connection (6.3 mm). The controller is built for / comes with Virtual DJ 8, but if you prefer a different flavor of software, the unit is fully MIDI mappable as well.
