In vetta alla classifica airplay per 9 settimane consecutive, top 10 su Shazam, e #1 su iTunes, il brano sta decollando anche in Francia, Germania, e Spagna (dove è entrato nella autorevole lista Los 40), mentre il videoclip ha già totalizzato più di 15 Milioni di visualizzazioni. Mihail Sandu, meglio conosciuto come Mihail, è un artista versatile nato in Russia e cresciuto musicalmente in Romania, polistrumentista, autore e produttore di enorme talento, ha dedicato la sua vita alla creazione di varie forme d’arte: dalla musica alla pittura, dalla fotografia al design. Suona il piano e la chitarra da quando aveva 7 anni, ed entra presto a far parte di diverse band come cantante e musicista; raggiunge il successo con la hit “Ma Ucide Ea” (tra i brani più trasmessi in Romania nel 2015, con oltre 50.000.000 di views!), e, dopo una breve pausa, ora Mihail è finalmente pronto a conquistare le classifiche globali con “Who You Are”. “Who You Are” combina influenze Funk, Blues, e Indie Pop, con un messaggio emotivo importante, e un ritornello che si stampa in mente dopo il primo ascolto.
Il video è stato girato in un villaggio fiabesco in Transilvania, Cluj-Napoca, e non è basato su alcun copione; infatti Mihail ha preferito lasciarsi ispirare dalla canzone, e dalla bellezza naturale del Lago Tarnita e dei suoi paesaggi, provando a ricordare le lezioni di ballo ricevute da bambino. “Who You Are” è disponibile su etichetta X-Energy (distribuzione Believe) dal 16-03-2018.
