Serato DJs, this one’s for you: the much-anticipated integration between Beatport, Beatsource, and Serato DJ Pro has arrived. Today, the companies announced that Beatsource LINK and Beatport LINK are now usable via Serato’s DJ Pro software.
We first saw similar integrations of LINK programs into DJ gear earlier this year with Denon’s on-hardware streaming capabilities, so this has been a launch we’ve been waiting for after Serato finished its public beta period with the programs. It opens up a massive door for DJs who use Serato regularly and want to access streaming libraries, creating an opportunity for more creative movements throughout their sets that won’t require them to load tracks into their library ahead of time.

What does this mean?
If you’re a Serato user with the latest edition of Serato DJ Pro, you’ll now be able to access both Beatsource LINK and Beatport LINK’s streaming services directly through the program. You can also now create playlists on Beatsource’s website as you dig for tunes, and they’ll sync within your Serato program for easy access.
This new capability makes the transition from finding music to playing it more seamless than ever. With this direct-stream-play capability, the extra steps of purchasing tracks and sorting them into your ever-growing library are no longer necessary, making on-the-fly set movements just a matter of searching.
DJ and producer A-Trak, a long-time advocate and user of Serato, shared his own thoughts on the news:

This looks to be one of the first steps towards a stronger relationship between Serato’s software and the streaming services as well. Beatport’s Senior VP, Romain Pouillon, shared:
