'Gizmo' first landed in 2015 and is one of the many modern classics in the discography of the great German production outfit M.A.N.D.Y. It remains a firm dance floor favourite so is a perfect track to get some fresh new interpretations from contemporary talents. Morocco’s Amine K makes organic music that has a deep emotional connection and rich sense of melody. He is Oasis festival's resident DJ and has released on Bar 25, Akbar Music and Souvenir. Here he works with fellow Moroccan talent Yahya, who has a similarly enchanting sound. Their take on 'Gizmo' is colourful and melodic, with enchanting keys and shuffling drums overlaid with exquisite acoustic melodies and real North African soul. Chris Schwarzwälder's distinctive style of deep, restrained House has made him a Berlin mainstay. His solo sounds are at home on the likes of Denature Records and Katermukke, while he also collaborates with Mira and is part of the experimental project Feathered Sun. On this remix, he cuts loose with his favourite synths and layers in flashing stabs, undulating chords and tense, textured leads. They keep you locked into the late-night melodic tech for the whole atmospheric duration. Minaday is a brand new artist who makes a fantastic impression here. The excellent remix is alive with bubbling xylophone melodies and inviting organic drums. String sounds add a tropical atmosphere during the breakdown and take you to a place of real and rare house beauty.
