UK techno legend Luke Slater is a man of many aliases, but perhaps his best-known is Planetary Assault Systems, under which he has been releasing tough, club-ready techno for more than three decades.
As he prepares to release his latest album – this time as L.B. Dub Corp – Future Music visited him in his hardware-stuffed studio. In this video, he demonstrates the distortion and compression used to capture his signature, characterful drum machine sounds using a TR-909.
Stay tuned for more studio videos from Luke Slater in the coming weeks.
