American McGee sta lavorando a un nuovo progetto chiamato Alice: Asylum da proporre ad Electronic Arts

Sono diversi anni che American McGee continua a pensare ad Alice dopo il lancio dell’ultimo Alice: Madness Returns, e a quanto pare lo sviluppatore ha deciso di effettuare dei passi concreti.

I diritti sulla proprietà intellettuale appartengono ancora ad Electronic Arts e questo rappresenta lo scoglio principale, perché dev’essere il publisher in questione a decidere sull’eventuale futuro della serie e considerando la buona ricezione ma le vendite piuttosto scarse di Alice: Madness Returns le possibilità di vedere un ritorno sul mercato non sono moltissime.

In ogni caso, a quanto pare American McGee ha deciso comunque di attivarsi, iniziando a lavorare su un prototipo di un nuovo gioco dedicato ad Alice da proporre ad EA. Si chiama a quanto pare Alice: Asylum e rappresenta un vero e proprio seguito della serie, ma siamo ancora in fase completamente embrionale. Il progetto verrà proposto al publisher completo di artwork, design e modello di business previsto, a quel punto starà ad EA decidere il da farsi. Se siete interessati, lo sviluppatore richiede di aderire al progetto iscrivendovi alla mailing list. Nel frattempo, Alice: Madness Returns è stato aggiunto di recente alla retro-compatibilità di Xbox One.
