Pluribus is the latest series from Vince Gilligan, the creator of Breaking Bad. The show may be centered in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and star Rhea Seehorn — one of the cast members of prequel series Better Call Saul — but aside from those details, this show is completely different. It’s a sci-fi drama that will probably be listed by critics as one of the best TV shows of the year.

The main theme of the series is that an unusual pandemic has affected the globe, with the majority of humanity suddenly experiencing extreme happiness. Except Carol (Seehorn). She’s one of a handful of people who have not been infected. Is it an alien invasion? Can it be stopped? Carol’s doing her best to find answers and not lose her mind in the process.
