Even thinner bezels
Xiaomi’s Mi Mix was quite a game changer and brought plenty of novelties to rather bland smartphone designs but now it appears that the successor will be even more interesting.
The first Mi Mix had a rather impressive 83 percent screen-to-body ratio, but according to Lei Jun, Xiaomi’s founder and CEO, the company aims to bring a truly bezel-less smartphone with the next version of Mi Mix.
Apparently, Xiaomi will be using an AMOLED screen and curved sides in order to raise the screen-to-body ratio. The new Mi Mix should retain some of the features from the original one but will still have a bottom black bezel which will include the front-mounted fingerprint scanner, something that was not present on the original Mi Mix.
Most users mostly liked the lack of the top bezel which will probably still be the main feature but it is still early to talk about the final design as the new Mi Mix still appears to be in its early stages.
