Go Girl! Lena Dunham shows off brand new figure – see her weight-loss transformation in pictures

Nearly as much as she’s known for controversy, Lena Dunham is known for being proud of her curves – and certainly not afraid to show it.

From nude scenes on her HBO show Girls, to personal time on the beach in bikinis, Lena has minimal hesitations about showing off her natural body – and it’s been a pretty refreshing sight to the 95% of women whose bodies don’t match up to Hollywood standards.

However, her commitment to a new training regime – combined with the stresses of the world – have resulted in writer and producer Lena looking significantly trimmer, while maintaining her curves. And she looks great!

Lena, 30, turned up to the studio launch of her mentor, Tracy Anderson, in New York on Wednesday evening (15th March) – and plenty were shocked to see her new slimline figure.

When previously asked how her weight-loss came about, Lena cited it as a side-effect of the recent state of US politics; an eager Hillary Clinton supporter, she took the presidential election of ex-reality star Donald Trump particularly badly.

‘Donald Trump became president and I stopped being able to eat food,’ she explained to Howard Stern on his SiriusXM radio show.

‘Everyone’s been asking like: “What have you been doing?” And I’m like: “Try soul-crushing pain and devastation and hopelessness and you, too, will lose weight”.’

(Not a diet we’d personally recommend – but whatever floats your boat!)
