Transfer speed of up to 1800MB/s
ADATA has released its new XPG SX7000 SSD that will be using 3D NAND and come in M.2 2280 form-factor with PCIe 3.0 x4 interface.
As noted, the new XPG SX7000 PCIe NVMe SSD is based on 3D TLC NAND and an unknown Silicon Motion controller, most likely the same SMI SM2260 controller used on the XPG SX8000 M.2 SSD, which supports both 3D MLC and 3D TLC NAND. The new ADATA XPG SX7000 SSD is based on standard M.2 2280 form-factor with PCIe Gen3 x4 interface and support for NVMe 1.2 protocol.
The ADATA XPG SX7000 will be available in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB capacities and offer a sequential performance of up to 1800MB/s for read and up to 850MB/s for write. The random 4K performance peaks at up to 130K IOPS for read and 140K for write. Of course, 128GB and 256GB models will have a slightly lower performance, as you can see from the table below.
The entire lineup has an MTBF of 2 million hours and is backed by a 5-year warranty as well as comes with a durability rating of 80TB for 128GB version, 160TB for 256GB and 320TB for 512GB model. Details for the 1TB are still unknown as this one will be coming at a later date.
The new ADATA XPG SX7000 should be available soon with a price set below the XPG SX8000 lineup, which currently sits at around US $ 80 for the 128GB, $ 140 for the 256GB and US $ 250 for the 512GB model.
