The former TOWIE star has opened up about the terrifying incident
Heavily pregnant, Amy Childs has been busy getting ready for the arrival her baby daughter, with only a few weeks to go until her due date.
But the mum-to-be was left terrified last weekend after she tripped over a stair gate at her home – the accident was so bad she ended up covered in cuts and bruises and even lost four toenails.
Ouch!

The former TOWIE star – who’s currently 38 weeks pregnant with boyfriend, Bradley Wright‘s baby – wrote about the scary fall for New! magazine, revealing: ‘Last week, I tripped and fell over the stair gate, which I have for my dog. I lost four toenails and was covered in cuts and bruises.’

How scary is that?
Clearly left horrified by the incident, the 26-year-old added: ‘OMG, I was in such a panic! I called my midwife but all was OK as I fell on to my side and not my belly.
‘Then my princess was kicking away, so I knew she was fine, but I was in so much shock I burst into tears.’

Amy has been keeping her fans to date with her pregnancy with some super cute pics of her nursery and even a photo of an intimate scan.
But the reality star caused a bit of controversy last month when photos emerged that appeared to show her enjoying some Prosecco at a hairdresser’s appointment.
But after receiving a lot of online criticism, Amy took to Instagram to put the record straight explaining that it was NON alcoholic.
In a passionate message to her followers, Amy revealed she was ‘hurt’ that people would think she’d put her baby at risk and added: ‘Being a mum is something I’ve dreamt of for so long and I wouldn’t ruin it for an act of selfishness.’
Good on you! And we’re glad to hear that everything’s okay with the baby – only a few weeks to go now… eeek!
