Standalone VRM board
EVGA has now officially launched the fifth generation of its EPOWER board, a standalone VRM board that provides additional power for graphics cards and motherboards.
Featuring a 12+2-phase VRM, drawing power from three 6-pin PCIe power connectors, the EPOWER V board gives additional vCORE and vMEM to graphics cards, “allowing it to break through any limits holding it back”, according to EVGA.
In addition to providing more vCore, in adjustment range of 600mV to 2000mV, with rated capacity of 600A and maximum peak capacity of 620A at 1.85V and vMem voltage, in adjustment range of 600mV to 2300mV with rated capacity of 80A with maximum peak capacity of 90A at 1.9V, the EVBOARD V also has onboard vCORE and vMEM LED displays which shows the current voltage in real-time as well as DIP switches to control vDROOP, force overclock voltage and/or offset voltages.
It also allows overclockers to control the device with integrated EVBot MKII and connect it to the PC via USB 3.1 Type-C port and ProbeIT connectors which can be hooked up to a multimeter.
EVGA also threw in a couple of fan headers just so you can keep either the EPOWER board or the overclocked hardware well cooled.
According to EVGA, the EPOWER V is already available with a power set at US $ 249.99 in the US and €269.99 in Europe.
