Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Review

Lisa Gade reviews the latest addition to the ThinkPad P series mobile workstation lineup- the Lenovo ThinkPad P1. It’s identical to the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme we’ve already reviewed, with one difference: the P1 has NVIDIA Quadro dedicated graphics while the X1 Extreme has the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Max-Q graphics card. This 15.6” laptop has Intel 8th gen 45 watt 6 core CPUs, making it as powerful as the larger ThinkPad P52, but a lot thinner and lighter. You can get up to an Intel Xeon CPU, and your choice of 2 Quadro graphics cards. It’s available with full HD and UHD 4K touch screens that support the ThinkPad Pen (Wacom AES digitizer). The machine has two M.2 NVMe SSD slots, 2 RAM slots and a fingerprint scanner and optional Windows Hello IR camera. Weight starts at just 3.76 lb. / 1.7 kg.
