Get Physical Music co-founder DJ T. has dug in his archives to offer up a new 2023 edit of his ‘Dis’ track alongside an all-new remastered re-dub and fresh remix by hot UK talent Melé.

The original version of ‘Dis’ was a digital-only cut in 2009 and then it arrived on vinyl in 2020. It has already been remixed by Solomun, KiNK and Roland Leesker, and all versions remain popular underground classics. Now it is Melé who steps up as an artist known for his percussive and tribal house sounds, Club Bad party in Liverpool and big tracks on the likes of Defected, FFRR and many more key labels. His superb version layers in snappy snare work and low-slung grooves with tropical percussion sounds and plunging bass. It’s a warm, fulsome sound with a catchy voal hook that comes alive with zippy synth work throughout.

DJ T.’s own 2023 Remake of ‘Dis’ is built on a jittery vocal loop that gets you on edge, while big claps and tribal drums eventually drop to make sure the floor explodes. It’s a full-flavored, heavyweight house cut that’s full of sweaty funk. DJ T. also serves up a 2023 Remaster Re-dub that focuses on the elastic rhythms and organic percussion to make for an even more direct and physical sound.

This is a superb revisit of an enduring house classic from DJ T and Melé.
