Il lancio di Xbox One X sul mercato americano è stato particolarmente positivo, al punto da indurre NPD Group a rivedere le proprie proiezioni, come confermato dall’analista Mat Piscatella via Twitter.
Piscatella ha commentato le vendite positive registrate nel Regno Unito, aggiungendo che dovrà modificare i propri forecast per quanto riguarda il mercato statunitense. In un post successivo ha speso qualche parola anche nei confronti di Star Wars: Battlefront II, alla luce delle aspre polemiche riguardanti le casse premio.
“Alcune delle microtransazioni più aggressive che ho sentito provengono dagli sviluppatori, mentre alcune delle opinioni più irremovibili le ho viste arrivare dalle persone dei publisher. Questa idea del publisher cattivo e dello sviluppatore vittima, nella mia esperienza, è una leggenda”, scrive Piscatella.
Al di là del dibattito sulle microtransazioni, Piscatella scrive che l’interesse del pubblico verso Star Wars: Battlefront II resta molto alto, e che pure in questo secondo caso probabilmente dovrà rivedere le proprie previsioni iniziali.
Xbox One X è disponibile dal 7 novembre. La data di lancio di Star Wars: Battlefront II è fissata per il 17 novembre.

My main takeaway from all this noise? Interest in BFII is very high and I should probably increase my sales expectation for the title.
