Rachel McFarlane & Nick Hussey ‘Let Nothing’

Traxsource: http://defct.de/letnothingtsBeatport: http://defct.de/letnothingbpDStore: http://defct.de/letnothingdsSubscribe to Defected Records: http://defct.de/subscribeFrom these two life-long devotees to house music, both coincidentally from Manchester in the UK, comes ‘Let Nothing’, a truly celebratory, gospel-inspired house record. The track is all about Rachel McFarlane’s intensely powerful voice, given due prominence alongside perfectly-judged production from Nick Hussey. Her performance on ‘Let Nothing’ is pure emotion and elation, both qualities that make Rachel’s rare breed of vocal talent perfect for floor-filling, euphoric, house tracks like this. It’s an instant, bona fide vocal house classic.Defected Muzu: http://po.st/sbmuzuDefected YouTube is the home of house music with artists including MK, Sam Divine, Noir, Copyright, Nick Curly, Dennis Ferrer http://defected.com http://twitter.com/defectedrecordshttp://facebook.com/defectedrecordshttp://soundcloud.com/defectedrecordshttp://mixcloud.com/defectedrecordshttp://defectedrecords.tumblr.comhttp://instagram.com/defectedrecords

We Love – Lightly

We Love – LightlyFrom BPC238 We Love – Timeless EpRelease Date: 16.09.2011Label: Bpitch ControlBPC Webshop: https://www.bpitchcontrol.de/market/browse/5106Not even a year has passed since we had the pleasure of presenting a wonderful debut – the self-titled album from the Italian duo We Love made a splash as probably the most charming declarationof love for life, love itself, and pop music to come out last year. While other artists crumble underthe pressure after their celebrated debut release and stumble from one existential crisis to another,We Love courageously tackled what is probably the biggest challenge of an artist’s career andupped the ante with the “Timeless” EP, their second BPC release. With this album, they cleverlyavoid the dangerous waters which are the exaggerated demands on an artist’s second work, andultimately on themselves – because they simply stay themselves. As a result, the three brandnew tracks on the A-side are all hit-worthy thanks to their unmistakable personality and theirpathos, which they bring across with the most charming sense of self-understanding. This is whatpop gems sound like. The elegantly arranged mix of sparkling minimal wave synths, subtle guitarsreminiscent of New Order, and striking vocals are set in motion by a laid back, yet assertivelyprogrammed drum computer. Melancholy and energy unite to form a liaison that is just as movingas it is stimulating. The flipside, on the other hand, is completely dedicated to the dance floor. Here we find tworemixes of tracks off the debut album which are just as equally extended to epic proportions asthey are arranged in compact form. The beautiful album opener “Ice Lips” is put on its diet byTale Of Us, a producer, DJ, and remixer team based out of Berlin and Milan. Carmine Conte andMatteo Milleri’s credit list may still be fairly limited, but is surprisingly exhaustive – their trackscan be found on Cocoon, Barraca Music, and Life & Death. As remixers they shined with theiracclaimed adaptation of Thugfucker’s Disco Gnome on Life & Death and with remixes for theindie/disco/funk project Who Made Who. An album is almost ready for release on Seth Troxler’slabel Visionquest.“The Even If” remix from Troy Pierce is definitely one of the album’s absolute highlights. Wedon’t need to say anything about the antihero’s career or the numerous successful remixes thatTroy has laid down for BPC. One thing that’s new and surprising (in the best sense of the word)are Troy’s overly impressive minimal wave tracks, which he creates under the name Louderbach, moving through darker musical realms with the same assured sense of style as We Love does. This common ground offers up loads of potential, and thoroughly proves its worth with anoutstanding floor-filler. Troy speeds up the pace of the album track, thrusts the drums into theforeground, and lifts the dark veil of melancholy without robbing the track of its captivatingatmosphere. This works extremely well, both with the Vox Mix of the 12” as well as with theInstrumental Remix, which rounds out the album as a digital bonus track.
