Or to put it another way it is on Monday. It is the hugely significant Cocoon closing party which means everyone who loves Ibiza is coming out to play.Normally we would be popping the corks and looking forward to getting well squiffy and dancing a lot and and taking lots of – or maybe just a couple of days off. This year is different. We do not want it to stop.It was pretty hard not to think it was closing last week. Seems to think there is life in it
Samsung appears to think that its Gear S3 smartwatch will do rather well.
South Korean news reports suggest that Samsung has increased its yearly sales target for the Gear S3 by as much as 60 percent more than the overall number of smartwatches and fitness bands it shipped in the previous year.
This is strange given that Samsung has not even confirmed the release date of the Gear S3 yet and it is coming in behind Apple’s iWatch. While the iWatch is pretty bad, it does tend to suck up the market for those who want an expensive watch which they have to keep recharging.
It appears that the Gear S3 will go on sale in most markets by the end of October and Samsung wants to ship five million units.
IDC reports that Samsung shipped 3.1 wearable devices combined in the previous year which suggests that it’s quite bullish on the Gear S3. To be fair the Gear S2 was one of the best smartwatches and the S3 is supposed to be even better.

HTC ha appena lanciato Viveport, lo store attraverso il quale sarà possibile accedere a un ampio catalogo di applicazioni per la realtà virtuale.
Precedentemente lanciato solo in Cina, Viveport diventa oggi fruibile da tutto il mondo, Italia compresa.
I portavoce di HTC spiegano che Viveport sarà una piattaforma aperta: si possono trovare prodotti compatibili non soltanto con Vive, il visore per la realtà virtuale dell’azienda taiwanese, ma anche con le soluzioni della concorrenza.
Gli sviluppatori che pubblicheranno le loro applicazioni su Viveport, inoltre, non dovranno fornire alcuna esclusiva: potranno renderle disponibili anche attraverso canali alternativi.
Nell’intento di promuovere l’utilizzo del nuovo store, HTC fornirà numerose applicazioni per la realtà virtuale al prezzo scontato di un dollaro per un periodo limitato a 48 ore.

Secondo i report del sito di analisi Githyp, il numero di giocatori giornalieri di No Man’s Sky, per quanto riguarda la versione Steam del gioco, sarebbe sceso addirittura a 1578. È un calo che ha dell’incredibile se si considera che al lancio, ovvero al 12 agosto, lo stesso sito registrava 194.254 giocatori in un giorno. Si tratta, infatti, di un rapporto superiore a 1 a 100 tra quello che succede adesso e ciò che succedeva al lancio.
No Man’s Sky si colloca solamente alla posizione 113 nella classifica dei giochi più popolari su Steam, dietro titoli molto vecchi come Shadow of Mordor, The Elder Scrolls Online e Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition. La velocità di abbandono è quindi decisamente importante, ulteriore segnale che i giocatori non hanno riscontrato in No Man’s Sky ciò che era stato promesso loro.
Dopo essersi assicurata l’esclusività di No Man’s Sky nei confronti di Xbox, Sony PlayStation ha spinto molto su questo gioco, coinvolgendo ovviamente nella campagna di marketing anche Hello Games. No Man’s Sky permette di esplorare molti pianeti generati proceduralmente, ma è povero sul piano delle missioni e della gestione delle risorse.
No Man’s Sky è stato recentemente coinvolto anche in un’indagine per pubblicità ingannevole.
