Annunciato alcuni mesi fa, Fire Pro Wrestling World farà il proprio debutto su Steam Early Access stanotte.

Ulteriore dimostrazione della validità della nuova piattaforma HEDT di Intel è il risultato raggiunto dall’overclocker greco SOFOS1990, al secolo Sofoklis Oikonomou, che è riuscito a portare un Core i9-7900X alla frequenza di 6,01 GHz con tutti i core attivi.
La piattaforma che ha raggiunto un simile risultato è ovviamente di tutto rispetto: alimentatore Corsair AX1500i, scheda madre Gigabyte X299 SOC Champion, RAM GSkill Trident Z e, ovviamente, tantissimo azoto liquido che ha raffreddato la CPU fino a -110°C consentendole di operare alla frequenza di 6.016,3 MHz con una tensione di 1,6V.
Si tratta di un ottimo risultato soprattutto perché ha permesso a Sofoklis di ottenere lo stratosferico punteggio di 12.189,52 punti con HWBOT Prime. Per capirci si tratta del miglior risultato in assoluto ottenuto con un singolo processore e, di conseguenza, anche per un singolo processore con 10 core.
Ovviamente questo traguardo non aiuta in alcun modo a rimediare alle problematiche emerse sinora. Tuttavia, ci fa ben sperare perché conferma che l’architettura è valida anche se necessita di alcuni affinamenti che Intel e i produttori di hardware potrebbero introdurre in seguito – la gamma Core i9 si completerà solo a ottobre.
Nel frattempo rimaniamo in attesa di vedere se i processori Ryzen Threadripper riusciranno a dare filo da torcere a questa generazione di processori HEDT di Intel.

A tranche of hardware makers on the island of Taiwan have released figures that show they were on a roll in June.
Quanta showed a 32 percent rise in June sales, Gigabyte revenues were up by 14 percent, while Compal showed a revenue rise of 18 percent in the period.
Gigabyte’s main business line is in motherboards, while Quanta is a significant manufacturer of PCs.
The news is likely to cheer up the entire PC supply chain and will provide some encouragement to chip manufacturers, to e-tailers and to retailers.
